translate2geda by Erich Heinzle is able to convert symbols, footprints and schematics from various tools to gEDA compatible formats. These tools include:

- gschem symdef
- BSDL (.bsd)
- LT-Spice (.asc)
- QUCS (.sch)
- RS274X “gerber” (.gbr, .gbo, .gto, .gbs, .gts, .gbl, .gtl, .pho)
